CreditDataNow is a credit monitoring membership. You see your scores and full report from all three bureaus, and you get an alert when something on your file changes.
It shows you what the bureaus report. It is not a loan, not an application for credit, and not credit repair. Nothing here is a lending decision.
Will enrolling affect my credit score?
No. Enrolling uses a soft inquiry. Soft inquiries are visible only to you and are designed not to affect your score.
Why do you ask for my Social Security number?
The bureaus use it to find the right file and to confirm that you are the person asking. It is entered inside the secure identity step and is not stored by this site.
What does an alert mean?
An alert tells you something on your credit file changed: a new account, a new inquiry, a balance change, a late payment reported, or a change to your personal details.
Most alerts are routine. If you see an account or inquiry you don't recognize, that is worth a closer look.
How do I read my report?
Accounts: every open and closed account the bureaus have on file, with balances and payment history.
Inquiries: who has looked at your file, and when.
Personal details: names, addresses and employers that have been reported.
Use the Overview tab for the short version and the Credit report tab for everything.
